It was an educational excursion for the students of Class VI, VII and VIII, to ‘the Queen of hills’, i.e Shimla. The chill weather and the dark night did not deter the spirits of the young tourists. The departure was scheduled for 19th December 2014. Forty students accompanied with six teacher escorts flagged off from the school vestibule. We spent an enjoyable time sightseeing in Shimla. The first lap was a visit and reverence to bless us that was Lord Hanuman at the Jakhu temple, the state museum, the Mall road were all we trudged along. Next day the group proceeded to drive up to Khufri. The students were overwhelmed to see the snow everywhere they enjoyed time at the beautiful resort, made snow man and did snow fighting. A silent thank you was all we could for the teacher’s parents who had given us this wonderful chance to be close to nature. WOW!!!!!! That was the only answer this excursion spelled. The excursion concluded with the group returned on 22nd December.
